Tanzania Cricket Association Academy
The Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) Academy is a nationwide initiative aimed at identifying, developing, and nurturing young cricket talent. In 2025, TCA established 10 academies across the country, each dedicated to training 25 boys and 25 girls, fostering inclusivity and equal opportunity in cricket development.
Academy Overview
The TCA Academy program is designed to provide structured training and development pathways for young cricketers aged 12 to 18. Each academy offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental resilience.

Training Schedules
Each TCA Academy follows a structured training schedule designed to balance skill development with academic commitments.
Weekly Schedule:
- Monday to Friday :
- Morning Session: 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Evening Session: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday:
- Match Practice: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday:
- Rest and Recovery
Annual Calendar:
- Pre-Season Training : January – March
- Competitive Season : April – September
- Off-Season Development : October – December
Enrollment Information
Eligibility Criteria
Age Group
12 to 18 years.
Selection Process
Open trials are conducted annually at each academy location.
Commitment
Participants must adhere to the academy’s code of conduct.

Coaches and Staff
Our coaching team comprises certified professionals committed to developing young talent.
All coaches undergo regular training and certification updates in line with ICC standards.
- Head Coaches : Oversee training programs and player development.
- Assistant Coaches : Provide specialized coaching in batting, bowling, and fielding.
- Fitness Trainers : Design and implement conditioning programs.
- Physiotherapists : Manage player health and injury rehabilitation.
- Psychologists : Support mental resilience and performance under pressure.
Academy League Structure
To provide competitive exposure, TCA organizes the Academy League, featuring all 10 academies.
Format
Round-robin matches followed by knockout stages.
Duration
April to September.
Categories
Separate leagues for boys and girls.
Awards
Recognition for top performers and teams.
The league serves as a platform for talent identification for national youth teams.
